How Does Credit Repair Work
How Does Credit Repair Work?
Your Journey to Better Credit Starts Here! π€
At Her Credit Highness (HCH), we believe everyone deserves a fresh start with their credit. Our goal is to help you understand your credit, identify inaccurate or questionable negative information, and work toward a healthier financial future.
Here's what to expect when you sign up!
STEP 1: Choose Your Credit Repair Plan π³
Select the service that best fits your credit situation and financial goals.
Whether you're preparing to purchase a home, need a vehicle, want to qualify for an apartment, or simply want to improve your credit, we have options to help you get started.
STEP 2: Complete Your Onboarding π
After signing up, you'll receive instructions to complete your client onboarding.
All clients are required to provide:
-
A valid government-issued photo ID
-
Your Social Security card
-
A recent proof of address showing your full name, address, and date
-
Active MyFreeScoreNow credit monitoring ($39.90/month)
IMPORTANT: WE CANNOT BEGIN PROCESSING YOUR DISPUTES UNTIL ALL REQUIRED IDENTITY DOCUMENTS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED AND VERIFIED AND YOUR CREDIT MONITORING IS ACTIVE.
Submitting only part of your required information does not count as completed onboarding.
Disputes are processed in the order that completed client files are received. The sooner you complete your onboarding, the sooner your file can enter our processing queue.
Please keep in mind that incomplete documentation, missing information, or inactive credit monitoring will delay your dispute process.
You have 72 hours from enrollment to complete your onboarding. Failure to meet this requirement may result in delays or dismissal from the program.
At Her Credit Highness, we want to help you move forward as efficiently as possible, but your participation is an important part of the process. π€
STEP 3: We Review Your Credit Reports π
Once your onboarding is complete, our team reviews your credit reports from Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion.
We'll identify negative information that may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unverifiable.
This may include:
π° Collections
π³ Charge-Off Accounts
π Repossessions
π Evictions & Rental Collections
βοΈ Bankruptcies
β° Late Payments
π Unauthorized Hard Inquiries
π Student Loan Negative Reporting
π¦ Other Negative Accounts
Please note: Not every negative account qualifies for removal. Accurate and verifiable information may legally remain on your credit report.
STEP 4: We Begin the Dispute Process π¬
Our team prepares and submits disputes to the appropriate credit bureaus and, when applicable, information furnishers.
The credit bureaus generally have 30 days to investigate a dispute, although certain investigations may take up to 45 days.
During this time, the information being disputed may be verified, corrected, updated, or removed depending on the investigation results.
STEP 5: Your Credit Reports Are Updated π
As the credit bureaus complete their investigations, we review the results through your active credit monitoring account.
At HCH, client updates generally occur every 30β35 days, depending on when new reports and investigation results become available.
Some accounts may be removed during the first round, while others may require additional review or follow-up disputes when legally appropriate.
Credit repair is a process, not an overnight guarantee.
STEP 6: We Continue Working Through Your Plan π
Depending on your selected program, we continue reviewing investigation results, identifying remaining reporting issues, and determining appropriate next steps.
You may see:
β¨ Negative information removed
β¨ Incorrect balances corrected
β¨ Inaccurate late payments updated
β¨ Credit reports becoming more accurate
β¨ Potential improvements in credit scores
Results vary for every client, and score increases are never guaranteed.
STEP 7: Build and Maintain Healthy Credit Habits π‘
Credit repair is only one part of improving your overall credit profile.
While enrolled, we recommend:
-
Making all payments on time
-
Keeping credit card balances low
-
Avoiding unnecessary new credit applications
-
Keeping your credit monitoring active
-
Checking your client portal and email regularly
-
Following your personalized credit recommendations
Good financial habits can help you maintain your progress long after your credit repair plan ends.
